Stool Design
This project was completed for a class, Digital Solid Modeling. The challenge was to use the CNC router to design a stool with only one piece of 4' by 8' plywood. Below are a few iterations of stool layouts I went though, rendered in Keyshot, final renderings also in Keyshot, and the final physical model. My goal was to give the stool a curved seat, instead of a flat one, which I was able to do by using planks of plywood vertically instead of horizontally. The curvature of the individual planks also allowed me to fit more on the given area. The physical model was finished by sanding, staining, and spray painting the edges of the plywood.
